“Mom and Baby Wren” This lidded form is about mama’s and their babies. Since becoming a mom I have noticed a new little set of feet that follows me around where ever I go. I imagine her little tracks disorganized and scattered all around mine, circles, jumps and skips everywhere!  | "Pretty As a Flower" The cubist-esque vase is layered with stains and underglazes and has such amazing character! “The Bad Apple” Round and round she spins, this 1950’s pin-up girl is a showstopper as a “bad” apple! The roundness of her body, the smooth velvet curtain and the saturated stage all come together to take you away to a fantasy in an apple orchard where this beauty can strut her stuff. The idea was inspired by the fall when the apples are ripe, sweet and lush, and as you can see, so is she. This piece can sit on a shelf while the sign hangs on the wall or both pieces can be hung (making sure to use reinforcements for the base). Truly one of a kind! “Always Dive Head First” This lidded jar is what I would do as a kid around a jar of goodies. I remember Grandma had stashes of sweets all over the house. If she would have caught me mid-grab (a couple times she did) I would look like this, waste deep in the sock drawer, under the microwave, or in the back of the cereal cabinet, inhaling as much as I could as fast as I could! Double dog dare ya to think back to when you were an ornery kid like me. Wasn’t it so good to just dive in head first? Measures 9 ½” x 6”.

All the pages splattered and dog-eared, its written words praised and practiced over many years. This piece is representative of that, little snippets of life’s recipes, words of wisdom, humor and love. She may be gone but I still treasure the things we made together and all the little life lessons she taught me along the way. Each trinket is wired securely in its cubby. Hangs on the wall. “Banana + Pnut Butter, The Beautiful Combo” This trifecta is the favorite of many, including me, Elvis and just about every kid in America. We used to slice the bananas length-wise and slather the peanut butter on top and then they became banana boats! "Webber" Jar This jar is the second that I have made like this one. I adore the way they turn out. They are 100% unique in that I take a picture of the pooch and make a miniature to sit, stand, flop... etc. on top for the lid. Then the outside gets some special treats or sayings. Webber got a red color and the bones read, "Eat, Sleep, Poop, Love" which is especially true for him. Can be made any size, with any sayings. What better way to show some animal love? I can close my eyes and back to when I was a kid, or heck, even recently when I've made delicious cupcakes and whipped up a big messy bowl of icing to go with it that's almost to pretty to eat. This scene has a big bowl of icing, a hand ready to spread, a cheery cupcake resting on it's quaint little plate and a sign that reads, "Frost Me, Baby!" Great for a kitchen or dining room, let it greet you everyday and wander back to when you were a kid, licking the spoon and the bowl AND eating the cupcake and loving it! These "Frost Me, Baby!" plaques will look great in your kitchen or dining room. Each plaque has a spoon, frosting, cupcake, plate and ricrac edge. I just love their little rosey cheeks and the handwritten YUM! Would the yellow one look better or how about the blue? Both? I know, I have a hard time deciding too. Promise, they'll make your day! "For I Will Always Be At Home Amongst the Aspen" Bowl Aspen are my favorite tree. I feel at home when we go to the mountains and see these beauty's hugging the earth. When they turn that burning gold in the fall, the color seems to vibrate. Catch them at dusk and the image will be burned into your heart as it is mine. This bowl is inspired by just that. It is a good size bowl that would look great on a table, countertop, shelf or full of your favorite foods. The bowl was thrown on the wheel and then I added and carved the aspen. Written on the trees as you spin it around it reads, "For I Will Always Be At Home Amongst the Aspen". Measures 5" tall x 9" wide. Dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. |  click the pic for more! |

These words are written on handmade cotton paper that is woven throughout the intricate wire spheres that suspend a curious girl and her bubbles. She has a bit of a vintage look to her, complete with her polka dot dress and green shoes. Holding her bubble wand, she puckers up to blow more wishes into the sky. Which ones will make it, which ones will pop? Doesn't matter, blow more, dream bigger, smile and let them go. She is made of many spheres and then strung together with wire and tethered by fishing line. This piece is a show stopper and would be perfect for any corner of house.  click the pic for more! | "Love Stew" Have you ever felt so loved as when someone made you a warm meal? To me, food is love. When I was a kid, there was a stove that seemed to bumble and roar with incredible comfort food. Pots and pans boiled over, messy spoons were strung about and timers were buzzing. This is that memory come to life. The handwritten words on the front read, "Sprinkle a little of this... Okay maybe a bit more just for you, For I've been working my whole life on this pot of Love Stew". There's a bright orange potholder, a spoon and some love stew smeared on top. There are two vents (one is tucked behind the stew), four knobs and that little shelf on the bottom comes out (for hiding something tiny and secret if you wish). It has wire burners, wire fire, wire door hinges and a wire shelf holding a little pie inside the oven. This piece sits or hangs on the wall. Measures 8 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" deep. |
"Warm My Tummy" Bowl with Thumb Loop This little bowl is the perfect cereal/soup bowl! There's a cute little woman on the bottom with a little green dress, horn-rimmed glasses and she's holding her spoon, READY! Very retro look, complete with thumb loop for holding confidently. Yum!  click the pic for more! | "Putting Down Roots" A tree can be very special. Withstanding the wind and snow, growing each year little by little, stronger and stronger, putting down roots, and changing, it is truly an amazing journey. We, too, make it through our own amazing journey. This piece came to me after moving twice this year. So many things were hard. How would/will everything turn out? Well, where we end and begin is not unlike the life of a tree. Put down roots, believe in yourself, grow strong. The woman is mottled with yellows oranges and blues, her hair, deep yellow, terra cotta and brown. The tree is covered in warm browns, greens and terra cotta. They two are intertwined with the tree trunks wrapping the base of the vessel and the woman's legs resting on and going through the other side of the vessel. "Sometimes I Even Amaze Myself" This labor of love sculpture of a nude with a pear balanced on her head. She is also covered in pears intricately painted all over her body. If you know anything of my work, I do a lot of curvy women. I love the artist Fernando Botero, very round glowing figures. Also, my grandmother was overweight but as a child I just thought she was beautiful. I suppose it is a reflection of my own body image perception as well. This sculpture is about confidence and all the things a woman must balance in life and how every once in a while it is truly amazing that she can handle it all!
